Nigeria Makes Nothing; It Imports Everything


Nigeria: A Nation Reliant on Imports Nigeria, with a population of 237 million, generates less electricity than the city of Dubai, which has a population of just 4 million. Its factories have largely shut down or are barely operational, while its manufacturing capacity is severely limited by insufficient electricity generation. The country imports nearly everything it needs to function, even items as basic as toothpicks. Is this a sustainable future? For over forty years, this has been the reality in Nigeria, raising an important question: are Nigeria's leaders lacking intellectual foresight?
